Part-Time Office/Sales Specialist

Wood From the Hood is a local company leading the way in urban wood utilization.  We are seeking a seasoned office assistant to support our growing business who is energetic about the concept of reclaiming the urban forest.  Primary responsibilities include answering client phone and email inquiries, organizing and scheduling sales appointments, and fulfilling website shipment orders for our online retail clients.  This position works directly with clients, marketing, the sales team, and the business owner assisting in preparation of new business.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably supporting a woodworking business
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Office 365
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Flexible demeanor, pro-active strategic thinker, positive attitude, ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to lift heavy packages as needed
  • Interest in marketing and social media relations
  • Sales Force experience a plus
  • WordPress/Ecommerce or website content management experience useful
  • Great attention to detail
