Commercial Office sparkles with wood, concrete and steel!

Commercial office projects are our expertise when is comes to working with clients on a remodel to meet their vision. Wood From the Hood is so proud of the work our team completed on the Mortenson Construction corporate office remodel. We collaborated with RSP Architects on the CEO’s office and are pleased with the results.

We started out quoting the credenza and the ceiling baffles and the project continued to grow from there. Mortenson’s vision was to celebrate the construction industry and materials. They wanted wood, concrete and steel to be the stars of the show with different pieces highlighting these materials. They created an exceptional space running with this inspiration and we were happy to lend our woodworking expertise. To bring this vision to life showcasing Wood From the Hood reclaimed local lumber.

Ultimately, we built the credenza and shelving above, dovetailed ceiling baffles, featured wall across from the desk with floating wood shelves, a file cabinet, the door and surrounding wood paneling leading to the bathroom, including the vanity and cabinet in the bathroom. The credenza, has a hidden retractable bar, which was the biggest challenge, as a result it turned out to be the piece that showcased our teams amazing woodworking talent.  What an opportunity to once again infuse reclaimed urban wood into every corner of the corporate office from the ash ceiling baffles, with dovetail joinery and the feature wall with ash slats and shelving. To the solid reclaimed wood tongue and groove wall paneling which conceals the custom-made door leading to the gorgeous bathroom. We loved seeing this project grow!
