Our Bowtie Coffee Table class is a beginner-level class focused on introducing participants to the simple techniques of adding bowties to their woodworking projects.
Each participant will create their very own bowtie coffee table to take home.
We offer three different sizes of coffee tabletops:
Small: 20″ – 24″
Medium: 24″ – 27″
Large: 28″ +
In this class, participants will learn how to add bowties to a project to improve material stability and aesthetic appeal. Participants will learn to how to use a router and jig to create perfect bowtie key holes and learn to use chisels to sharpen the corners and sides of their key holes. Once all of the bowties are in place participants will sand their tabletop, break edges, and finish their coffee table using Mineral Bee wood conditioner. Once complete participants will add 3 hair pin legs to their table before taking it home.
By the end of the class, participants will gain foundational knowledge and practical skills for adding bowties in crafting, woodworking, art, and other creative projects.
When: April 23rd & 25th 2024 – From 6-8 pm (both days)
