Our Epoxy 201 Workshop is a beginner level class participants are not required to have attended our Epoxy 101 workshop or have prior epoxy experience. Each participant will create their very own epoxy river tray to take home. In this workshop, participants will learn the proper mixing, pouring, and curing techniques for deep pouring epoxy as well as techniques for embedding objects properly.
Participants will bring their own objects to embed within the epoxy river. Think of something special to you or beautiful or interesting that you’d like to see embedded in a serving tray. Do not bring something that you may wish to remove from the tray in the future as these will not be removable.
By the end of the workshop, participants will gain foundational knowledge and practical skills for working with deep pour epoxy, sanding and finishing epoxy and wood, and embedding objects in epoxy.
Must be 18 years of age or older or accompanied by a guardian.
When: This workshop takes place over two days: Tuesday June 4th AND Tuesday June 11th from 6:00 pm – 8:00pm
Where: Wood From The Hood – Lumber Store – 2616 Minnehaha Ave Minneapolis, MN 55406
Supplies: All needed supplies will be provided except objects to embed which must be provided by participant.
OBJECTS MUST BE NO TALLER THAN ¼” OR 4 PENNIES TALL IN ORDER TO FIT WITHIN THE TRAY AND FOR THE TRAY TO BE SANDED SAFELY!!!
You’ll want enough objects to fill roughly 12” x 5” of space with some room in between – See our example photos for inspiration.
