St. Paul Artist Uses Our Reclaimed Wood for Oil Paintings

For Earth Day this year we are honoring one of our lumber store customers, and St. Paul artist, Melinda Wolff. Melinda creates artwork inspired by nature and strives to be environmentally conscious by using reclaimed materials in her creations.

“I believe we should all pay attention to sustaining our forest and using every bit of the earth that we can,” says Melinda. “That’s why my husband, who is also a woodworker, and I love to find reclaimed treasures from Wood From the Hood!”

Using wood purchased from our lumber store, Melinda creates oil paintings on wood by letting the unique wood grain guide her brush strokes and adding in a little imagination. The result, is a beautiful nature-inspired piece of art!
